Report a Tall Grass Violation

Help us keep our streets safe and beautiful.

  1. Inspection Timeline: Upon receipt of this form, Town staff will conduct a site visit within [3–5] business days to verify the violation.
  2. Due Process: If a violation is confirmed, the Town must provide the property owner with a formal notice and a grace period (approx. 10 days) to remedy the situation before further action or fines are pursued.
  3. Safety First: Please do not enter private property to take photos or measurements.
  4. Incomplete Forms: Reports submitted without a specific address or location may result in a delayed response.
  5. Grass Height: According to Town Code, grass and weeds must exceed 12 inches in height on any developed lot to be considered a violation. We encourage residents to monitor their properties regularly to avoid reaching this limit.
  6. Are there any exceptions to the 12-inch rule? Yes. Large agricultural tracts, naturally wooded areas, and certain designated "managed meadows" or pollinator habitats may be exempt, provided they do not create a safety hazard or sight-distance issue for drivers
