Welcome to the Mount Jackson Town Council page!
We're so glad you're here and interested in how our local government works. Mount Jackson is a wonderful place to live, and your Town Council is committed to keeping it that way. We operate under a Mayor and Town Council form of government, with elections held every two years to ensure fresh perspectives and continued community representation. Our most recent election was held on November 12, 2024, with the new terms beginning January 1, 2025. The dedicated town staff works hard to administer the Town Code and manage the day-to-day business of Mount Jackson, supporting both the Council and our residents.
We believe in open government and encourage you to get involved! The public is always welcome to attend our Town Council meetings, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at 5901 Main Street. Your voice matters, and we value your comments and input.
Our Council members also dedicate their time to various committees (listed below), working on specific areas to improve our town. Additionally, we have Council liaisons who serve alongside residents on the Planning Commission and the Economic Development Authority, ensuring collaboration and community involvement in these important areas.
Want to stay even more informed? Check out our Agendas & Minutes page for a schedule of committee meetings, as well as agendas and minutes from past meetings. We look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon!
