Unleash the Fun at Jacktown Bark Park!
Hey Mount Jackson neighbors and furry friends! Get ready to wag your tails because the moment we've all been waiting for is here: Mount Jackson's very own JACKTOWN BARK PARK is officially open! We heard you loud and clear in our September 2023 town-wide survey – you wanted a dedicated space just for our canine companions to run, romp, and socialize. And guess what? We made it happen! You'll find our paw-fect new park at the triangular piece of land at the corner of Orkney Drive and King Street. It's a fantastic spot for pups of all sizes to enjoy some off-leash fun.
The Jacktown Bark Park is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, so there's always time for your pup to play!
We've pulled out all the stops to make this park a tail-wagging success, with amenities designed for both our four-legged residents and their human companions:
- Separate fenced areas for large and small dogs to ensure safe and happy playtime for everyone.
- Comfy benches for you to relax and watch your furry friend frolic.
- A convenient mutt-mitt station to help keep things tidy.
- A vibrant "Puppy LOVE" sign created by talented Triplett Tech students and local artist Rachel Rebecca – so get those cameras ready for some adorable photo ops!
- A refreshing water station to keep everyone hydrated after all that play.
We're also looking forward to future improvements in the King Street area, including roadway upgrades and a new sidewalk extension, making it even easier to stroll to the park with your pup!Want to help make the park even better?
