The Mount Jackson Public Works Department is committed to keeping our community clean and beautiful. We work hard to provide efficient and reliable trash and recycling services for all our residents and businesses.
Trash Collection
We partner with Long Enterprises LLC for our weekly trash collection. Here's what you need to know:
- Collection Day: Every Tuesday morning, starting at 6:30 AM.
- Set-Out Time: Please do not place your trash out before 4:00 PM on Monday, the day before your scheduled pick-up. This helps prevent animals from scattering trash overnight.
- Proper Disposal: Please use trash cans to contain your trash. This also helps prevent animals from getting into your garbage and making a mess.
- Rates:
- Residential: $15.51 per month
- Commercial: $18.50 per month
- Billing: For your convenience, the trash fee is included with your monthly water bill.
Large Trash Pick-Up
We understand that sometimes you have items that are too big for your regular trash can. That's why we offer a special large trash pick-up service. This service is available quarterly, in January, April, July, and October. We'll announce the specific dates for each pick-up in advance, so keep an eye on our website and community bulletin board.
Please note: This service is for large household items only. It does not include construction debris, hazardous waste, or tires.
Currently we do not have a recycling program/service in the Town of Mount Jackson.
